No e23 for me this weekend. The new steering link from moog wasn't made right and it won't fit on the car.

Kinja'd!!!

The stock link has a 1.5" kick out to clear the trans housing, while the moog has a 1.25" kick out. Why they did this, I have no idea, and no amount of grinding will make it fit and not cause fiery death when I turn the wheel to hard one day

Guess I'll just sleep late tomorrow.

I never buy moog, usually I get raybestos but apparently even the raybesto was a moog part.

I should clarify, my friend is still rebuilding the front of this, I'm buying the car off him when its done and road worthy.

For less than a raybestos center link, you could have an ocap. I have one on my E28, and it was exactly the same as the OEM one. I can only imagine that it would be the same story for the e23. It's a 32211128365 (made by ocap). AutoHausAZ has them for ~$54.
